Humberstone Park Day Nursery Leicester Rebrand Website Design
Got it. The current draft already covers all three (rebrand, website, photography), but the framing leans website-first, so the shoot and rebrand read as supporting acts. If the piece is meant to showcase all three as headline deliverables, the title and intro should say so up front. Adjusted below.
Changes: title now names all three, the intro lists them explicitly, and the photography section is pulled up into its own proper section rather than a bullet buried in the website build.
Humberstone Park Day Nursery: Rebrand, Website Design & Photography in Leicester
For a nursery, the first impression happens online. Long before a parent picks up the phone or books a visit, they have already formed a judgement based on the brand they saw and the site they landed on. A dated logo, stock photography, or a confusing website quietly costs enquiries the nursery never knows it lost.
Humberstone Park Day Nursery is part of HPDN, a Leicester childcare group that also runs Hine Park Day Nursery. They came to CL42ITY for a full package: a brand refresh, a new website, and a photography shoot at both settings, all pulling in the same direction under one unified HPDN name. Here is the full project and what we delivered.
The Challenge
The brief carried a structural problem most nursery sites never face. Two nurseries, one group, one brand. Humberstone Park and Hine Park each have their own building, their own team, and their own atmosphere, but they needed to sit together under a single, unified HPDN identity. Parents searching for childcare usually have one specific setting in mind, so everything, from the logo to the site structure to the imagery, had to bring both together without blurring them.
Underneath that, it all needed to do the quiet work every good nursery brand does: build trust, answer the questions parents actually ask, and make booking a visit effortless.
The Rebrand
We started with the brand. The existing HPDN identity was modernised into something consistent, warm, and professional that worked across both nurseries and every touchpoint, from the website to print.
That meant refining the colour palette for consistency across both settings, selecting typography that feels warm and parent-friendly rather than corporate, and delivering final brand files in every format needed for print and digital use. The logo went through unlimited refinement until it was exactly right. The result is one identity that ties both nurseries together and reads as an established, trusted childcare provider.
The Photography
A brand is only as good as the imagery carrying it, and nothing undermines a nursery site faster than generic stock photos of children who were never there.
We ran a photography day shoot on-site at both Humberstone Park and Hine Park, capturing fresh, high-quality images of the actual spaces, the real settings a parent's child would spend their days in. That imagery runs throughout the website, giving parents an honest look at each nursery and doing far more for trust than any stock library could.
The Website
With the brand and imagery in place, we designed and built a five-page website that gives HPDN a modern, welcoming home online, fully responsive across mobile and desktop, where most parents will find them.
The structure was built around how parents actually use a nursery site. A Home page that introduces HPDN and points parents in the right direction. An About page carrying the story and values behind the group. An Our Nurseries section that gives Humberstone Park and Hine Park each their own dedicated space, so parents always know exactly which setting they are looking at and what it offers. A Booking and Calendar page, and a simple Contact page.
The build included a built-in booking and calendar system, letting parents enquire, book a visit, or reserve a session directly through the site, which removes friction for the parent and saves the nurseries time on admin. It was built on a user-friendly CMS so the team can keep everything updated without needing a developer, with clean, parent-first layouts and a clear route to enquire on every page.
Built to Be Found
A nursery website only works if local parents can find it. We set the site up for local search from day one, with proper on-page SEO: meta tags, heading structure, image optimisation, keyword structuring across the core pages, and Google indexing so the site is searchable from launch.
This gives HPDN a site that is structured correctly for search engines from the start, ready to rank locally and bring the right families through the door. Search is a long game, and the foundation laid here is what ongoing content and optimisation build on over time.
Why the Structure Mattered
Most nursery websites fail in one of two ways. They cram everything onto a single page that overwhelms, or they hide the important details several clicks deep. For a group running two settings, that problem doubles.
The unified structure solved it cleanly. A parent interested in Humberstone Park never has to wade through Hine Park's information, and the reverse holds true. Each nursery stands on its own while HPDN still reads as one professional, joined-up brand. It is a structural decision, but it shapes how easy the entire site is to use, and how much trust it earns.
The Result
HPDN now has a refreshed brand, professional photography of both settings, and a website that matches the quality of care they provide. It is warm, clear, quick, and easy to navigate. Two nurseries are handled without confusion, each has room to stand out, and parents can go from first click to booked visit in a few taps. It is also built to grow, ready to scale as the HPDN brand expands.
